"Happiness depends upon ourselves".....Aristotle 350 BC

Introduction

Someone once said - 'The neurotic is a person who worries about something that did not happen in the past. He's not like us normal people who worry about things that will not happen in the future',

The pursuit of happiness is currently receiving a great deal of media attention. Despite this, the majority of us find happiness elusive whereas conflict is widespread. This is mostly due to a lack of understanding ('Ignorance, the root and stem of every evil' - Plato). The word 'happiness' itself has various interpretations.

It is difficult to over-state the benefits of - 'howwetick'. This is not another expensive, self or business improvement technique. It is a simple, low cost, unique approach which provides a basis to significantly improve our lives.

It combines psychology with traditional and modern wisdom, to give a clearer view of how we behave and why. This understanding leads to a much happier life with better relationships and fewer emotional difficulties.

howwetick has helped to transform working and personal relationships. It has assisted individuals who were low, following personal loss and others who lacked fulfilment despite their apparent 'success'. Comments include - 'amazing, exceptional, inspirational, I don't know what I would have done without it'.

We have a tendency to want others to change to suit us - imagine if you went to the doctor and explained your symptoms - then the doctor says 'don't worry, I will prescribe a medicine for your neighbour - sounds ridiculous doesn't it, but that is exactly how we live our lives. The truth is - we need the medicine, not our neighbour! The medicine is understanding.

By understanding ourselves better, we can see that external conflict or discontent arises from our internal difficulties. With some guidance this becomes clear, then our view of others and the world changes. This insight has been available for centuries and refined by psychology over the past 150 years, but it is rarely explained to us simply or without great research.

There is an increasing emphasis on self help and psychology, which is encouraging. The difficulty is that, due to perception, they are usually considered as a last resort, in an attempt to find relief. This relief may not get to the root of our difficulties or reach far into our everyday lives. 'howwetick' provides comprehensive perspectives and foundations, based on our similarities and differences. This insight reveals the reasons for our feelings and behaviour, enabling us to resolve conflicts and find happiness.

'The real voyage of discovery lies, not in finding new landscapes but in having new eyes'....Marcel Proust (1871-1922) French novelist.
